It’s November – it’s the time of harvest and time for family gatherings. You’ve worked hard the whole year and as it’s coming to an end, you can now look back at all you’ve done. It’s time to count your blessings and give God the glory!
But let’s be honest. Life doesn’t always work out perfectly each year. Maybe you’ve had a rough year and the holidays add to your stress. We’re here to tell you that it’s okay. Everyone has a different life, a different path, and sometimes the timing of hardships isn’t so great. Being thankful isn’t only for a time of abundance. Being thankful should resound in all seasons of your life. It’s easier said than done, but it is doable.
The most difficult part about being thankful is expressing it. When times get tough and emotions of negativity are running high, saying ‘God, thank you for all you have given me’ is sometimes the last thing that comes to mind. But it is so important for us to express our gratitude during these times. This is what makes the harvest that follows so much more enjoyable – knowing that God was with us the whole time!
Be encouraged in knowing that our God is there, through the ups and the downs. As we enter this harvest season with grateful heart, let’s continue to be thankful for all God has done for us. Stay inspired and encourage those around you take to to say ‘God, thank you for all you have given me’!
